“Deal is done” on Jamal Fogarty: Source, Mole
According to a source - and legendary league sleuth "The Mole" - the "deal is done" between Canberra Raiders and Gold Coast Titans halfback Jamal Fogarty.
According to a source close to the Canberra Raiders, the “deal is done” regarding the signing of 27-year-old halfback Jamal Fogarty.
“The deal is done on Fogarty,” our source said.
“The mail is good.”
A spokesman for the Raiders said he is “not in a position to confirm anything yet”.
A spokesman for The Milk’s man “The Mole” - indeed The Mole himself - confirmed the source’s mail.
“Yep - Fogarty is done.
“All I got,” said The Mole.
According to The Courier Mail Fogarty has been released from the final two years of his contract with Gold Coast Titans.
“Jamal Fogarty’s NRL future won’t be on the Gold Coast after the Titans finally made a call on their co-captain,” said the newspaper in the teaser this side of the pay-wall.
Fogarty is from the Queensland town of Beaudesert and is a member of the Mununjali clan of the Yugambeh people.
He has played 40 NRL games for Gold Coast after a stint with Parramatta Eels feeder Wentworthville Magpies.
In a round 15 fixture at CBUS Super Stadium last year he was famously ankle-tapped by Raiders front-rower Josh Papalii.
