Kingo confirmed for Milk's mega-launch
Yes! The Milk will be holding its grand opening mega-launch at the famous Kingston Hotel on Sunday March 6 from 2pm and you - yes, you, specifically - are invited.
The People!
Good day to you.
Following on from previous missives, we can confirm the venue for the Milk’s mega-launch on Sunday March 6 from 2pm is…
The Kingston Hotel.
Yes - the great and famous ‘Kingo’ on 73 Canberra Avenue, Kingston, has a semi-private but accessible to all ‘function’ room they call The Library, and there we will talk of the book, and of war stories by Raiders of old. notably - and this is confirmed - Peter McGrath who is now and forever Raider No.8 on account of him playing in the first ever game the Raiders played against South Sydney Rabbitohs at Redfern Oval, and the names going in alphabetical order after No.1 Les McIntyre and No.2 David Grant.
So there you go.
Yes, Peter McGrath. That’s him fourth from the left in the bottom row next to ‘Nana’ Grant, he looks a bit like Graham ‘Wombat’ Eadie. Good fellah.
Our MC Raider Nick still working on his rolodex of local former players to join Mr McGrath but whoever we rustle up we’ll talk footy, have a few beers, eat some party pies, sign a few books, have a few beers, few party pies, books, pies, beer, and wrap up the greater shindig by 4pm one would suggest thereabouts latest.
In the meantime here at Milk HQ we’ve got a huge day of postal action tomorrow (Thursday) so if you’ve bought one it may turn up Friday arvo, or Monday one would warrant given the biblical nature of rain predicted for these parts.
Books are of course purchasable, and sign-able, at the launch, we’ll have one of those little white disk things you can put your card and/or phone on. And even those who still hold to the ancient parchment known as ‘cash’ we can probably sort out.
And for those who’d purchase one one the internets, you can still do so - yes, we only have 782 or so left, ha - via the world wide ‘web’ of computers known as the internet, click here to make set the magic free.
Okay. Up the Milk. And bye for now.
